MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – MobCraft Beer is continuing its monthly virtual conversation series called Lager and Listen. The second session is entitled Entrepreneurship and Raising Capital: Accessibility and Challenges from a Minority Perspective.  The first installment focused on the Black perspective on life in the beer and bar industries. Volume 2 will be held on Zoom at 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 10.  The event is free and open to the public.  Anyone wishing to attend the second event can RSVP and pose questions to the panel at www.beersgiving.info/lager-and-listen.

Each installment of Lager and Listen features a different panel.  This month’s panel features three guests: Dana Guthrie,  Managing Partner at Gateway Capital Partners; Jason Fields, Managing Director of DarkKnight Capital Ventures; and Abe Chu, Co-founder and CMO of NextSeed.  The discussion will be co-moderated by Henry Schwartz, President of MobCraft Beer and Ayrton Bryan, Strategic Partnerships Coordinator for MKE Black.

Schwartz and Bryan co-moderated the first Lager and Listen conversation.  Bryan explains what guests can expect if they tune in for Volume 2: “With Lager and Listen, we want to create a safe zone for dialogue. Safety does not mean you will not be challenged or that you will be protected from feeling uncomfortable: safety means you will feel respected and you can speak honestly.  This openness allows us to create a shared pool of ideas during Lager and Listen.  At the end of the evening, our hope is that each participant can take away at least one thing to make a difference in how we all see the world.”

Echoing Bryan’s sentiment about a valuable takeaway, Schwartz explains that each session will end with some “homework:” a “simple, accessible, action that can help listeners learn, grow, or give back” Schwartz says.

Join MobCraft and MKE Black for Entrepreneurship and Raising Capital: Accessibility and Challenges from a Minority Perspective, Lager and Listen Volume 2 on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:00pm on Zoom. RSVP here beersgiving.info/lager-and-listen.

MobCraft Beer was founded in 2013 by Henry Schwartz and Andrew Gierczak.  It is the world’s first crowdsourced brewery.  MobCraft’s taproom is located at 505 S. 5th Street in the Walker’s Point neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI. Each month the crowd submits and votes on beer ideas. At the end of the month, the winning beer is brewed and available for all to enjoy. These crowdsourced beers are served in the taproom with MobCraft flagships, beers from their Wild & Sour Program, and more.
